Business Operations & Strategy

At Africreate Labs, we’re always looking for driven, ambitious, resourceful leaders to coordinate all day-to-day operational aspects of our ventures, iterating until product/market fit is achieved, and beyond.

You will work closely with the founding team, CEO, and other internal and external partners to handle all business operations and processes within the company, making things happen daily. As a key part of your role, you will also work closely with product, design and engineering to define the foundation of internal tools and ensure productivity. Finally, you will drive strategic partnerships for the company and build relationships with key customers.

The ideal candidates will be versatile –  comfortable handling different sorts of tasks, from visiting customers, calling vendors, and hiring fields operations people; thoughtful – driven, but thinks before acting, and can think in terms of systems and patterns, not only individual tasks; and communicative – excellent at individual execution, but also a great team player; can clearly communicate goals and ideas, and feel comfortable writing down thoughts and outlining plans of action.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations and management of the project
  • Set priorities and establish roadmaps for all business efforts
  • Manage and motivate others; collaborate with the greater Africreate Labs team to ensure a fully-functioning operational system
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with the Africreate Labs team to build a fully-functioning system

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of management experience
  • 4+ years experience in operational roles
  • Proven track record of building and scaling products and companies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to capture an audience
  • Analytical mindset for making data-driven decisions
  • Appreciation for great design and user experience
  • Intelligence, creativity, and hustle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in consulting, marketing, sales operations, product management or other demonstrated hustling ability
  • Some technical exposure & understanding – web development, app development, etc.
